1. Who we are

Rendit ("we", "us", or "our") operates rendit.ai — a web application that turns photographs into editable design presentations using AI. Our contact email is support@rendit.ai.

2. What data we collect

Account data

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.

Uploaded content

Photos you upload and AI-generated images produced from them are stored on our servers. This content is used solely to provide the service to you.

Usage data

We log API requests (timestamp, endpoint, response status) for debugging and security monitoring. We may use third-party analytics tools to understand how visitors use the service in aggregate.

Payment data

Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Cookies

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary — a first-party token cookie that keeps you signed in. Without it the service cannot function.
  • Analytics — cookies that help us understand how visitors interact with the service (e.g. pages visited, session duration). This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities.

We do not use advertising or profiling cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies.

3. How we use your data

  • To authenticate you and operate your account
  • To process images using AI models (see Section 4)
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, invitations, password resets) via Google Workspace
  • To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
  • To detect and prevent abuse and security incidents

We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Third-party AI processors

To generate design suggestions, your photos and prompts are sent to one or more of the following AI providers. Each provider processes data under their own data processing agreements and does not use customer data for model training by default.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data and uploaded content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and uploaded files within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., billing records are retained for 7 years).

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to certain types of processing

To exercise any of these rights, email support@rendit.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Database and file storage are hosted on servers with restricted network access. We review our security practices regularly. See our Security Policy for responsible disclosure information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
